Our Vision
Our vision is to teach all men to become disciples of Jesus Christ, by teaching them the living word of God with simplicity and understanding, in order that someone may be saved, challenged and changed.
The Foundation of Jesus World Outreach Center, Inc. is based on the following belief:
We as a body of believers, being joined by the blood of Jesus Christ who is our Savior and Lord, adopted by God the Father, and led and baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit, do now enter into this covenant with and before one another as one body in Christ, and before God “who has called heaven and earth to record this day against us” (Deut 30:19).
We will be led by the Holy Spirit; walk together in love and unity; strive for the advancement of this local church in knowledge and holiness; loyal to it’s leadership; to give it a place in our affections, prayers and services above every organization of human origin; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrine; to give cheerfully towards it’s expenses for the support of it’s outreach ministry and the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
We will also strive to maintain family values; “to study to show ourselves approved unto God” (2 Tim 2:15); and to exhort one another daily; to sustain from back-biting, strife, envy and discrimination; “to let no corrupt communication come out of our mouths” (Eph 4:29); to spiritually educate and train our children in the Word of God (Prov 22:6).We furthermore “will not be conformed to this world’s system, but will be transformed by the renewing of our minds...” (Rom 12:2) in the Word of God. Finally, we will remain “steadfast and unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord...” (1 Cor 15:58) and “never give place to the devil” (Eph 4:27).
Our Pastors
Dr. Jake Williams Jr
Founder
Bio: Dr. Jake Williams Jr was born and raised in Seale, AL. He graduated high school in 1975, and joined the military in 1976 where he served 22 years in the U.S. Army before retiring in 1998. Upon retiring, Dr. Williams, as an entrepreneur, opened a computer retail store and ran it very successfully for three years. This, along with the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit, gave him the skills and knowledge for management in the ministry. Dr. Williams received his called into the ministry in 1989 in Jesus World Outreach Center in Heilbron, Germany (which is now located in Heidelberg, Germany). In September 1997, he founded the Fayetteville, NC branch of Jesus World Outreach Center, Inc. (JWOC). In October 2001 Dr. Williams sold his very prosperous business to serve in the ministry full time. He has an Associate degree in General Education from Fayetteville Technical Community College, Bachelor in Bible, Master in Theology and Doctor in Christian Education/Counseling from Great Commission Bible College and Seminary. In May 2006 Dr. Williams received his Private Pilot License from Dillon’s Aviation Flight School. In August 2010 he received his Instrument and Commercial Pilot License and now flies as a Commercial Pilot. In November 2009 Dr. Williams joined the Civil Air Patrol and serves at the rank of Major as a Mission Search and Rescue Pilot. He is founder and overseer of a men’s ministry called Men of Integrity where he teaches men to become men of integrity enabling them to take back their rightful places as men, husbands, and fathers in the home. He has a sincere heart for helping people and making them disciples of Jesus Christ. Dr. Williams is a radical mighty man of God who travels nationally and internationally teaching the uncompromising Word of God. He has been married to Dr. Barbara Williams since 1995; together they have five children.
Dr. Barbara W. Williams
Co-Founder
Bio: Dr. Barbara Williams was born and raised in Columbus, GA. She attended a Junior college on a basketball scholarship before entering the U. S. Army in 1990 where she served eight years. While on military assignment in Germany in 1992, she received her call into the ministry. However, it wasn’t until 1995 that she stepped into her call and began teaching the Word of God. Dr. Barbara Williams supported her husband as he founded the Fayetteville, NC branch of Jesus World Outreach Center, Inc. (JWOC) and began holding services on September 7, 1997. Dr. Barbara Williams left a career as a Real Estate Broker to become full time in the ministry with her husband. She has a Bachelor degree in Bible, Master in Theology and Doctor in Christian Counseling from Great Commission Bible College and Seminary. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fayetteville State University. She is founder and overseer of a ministry for women called Women Of the Word. She also travels nationally and internationally proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ at various conferences. She has been married to Dr. Jake Williams Jr. since 1995; together they have five children.
A Walk Down Memory Lane: Our History
Jesus World Outreach Center, Inc. (JWOC) is a multicultural, multinational, nondenominational, bible believing, bible teaching, Word speaking, "How-To" church, where we are people of INTEGRITY teaching the uncompromising Word of God with simplicity and understanding. As the vision manifested itself, the first service was held on September 7, 1997 at the Comfort Inn Hotel. As a result, of God's Word being taught, and the obedience of Pastor Williams, six people joined that day. As God continued to add to this church membership, the Church members and leadership came into agreement on a church building. In February 1999, the blessing manifested. The members came together to complete renovations, setting the summer as a completion period. With the building completely renovated, and the outreach ministries continuing to move forward, Gods' mighty hand is still at work. Today we celebrate and recognize what God began in the heart of Pastor Jake Williams Jr. over 15 years ago. JWOC, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Faith-Based organization that has different community outreach programs.
The needs of our community seem to be growing by the day, and we have recently expanded to meet these needs. Over the years, we have learned that what people sometimes need the most is someone who will listen to their concerns - someone they can turn to for support when the going gets tough. And that's what Jesus World Outreach Center, Inc is all about.
